No way, this is a matter for Trump to figure out, no adults in the room allowed.
    /s

EDIT: Added /s because Poe’s law.
But it’s OK if you don’t think it’s funny to make a jab at Trump not behaving like an adult in this context.

Either people didn’t get your sarcasm or they didn’t like it. Not sure which is worse.

More than two options available… maybe he sucks at making clever sarcastic comments? Or maybe he was not sarcastic? Something as simple as /s would have helped.

No adults in the room allowed, is very clearly referring to all the people who claimed there were adults in the room to “manage” trump, preventing him from doing way more harm than he did.
Normally I agree sarcasm needs a /s, because of Poe’s law that says:

without a clear indicator of the author’s intent, any parodic or sarcastic expression of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of those views.

But in this case the reference should be clear enough, that anybody should know the context, and clearly be able to identify it as sarcasm.

Dude that’s for the reply… your last sentence comes across as *it’s not me it’s you" mindset… the dosnvoates are clear evidence that contradicts this statement… anyway… thanks for explaining.

If your comment requires /s, maybe just don’t post it in the first place.

The tag does two things. One, for people like me (ND ASD) the tag allows us to actually understand what you’re trying to say. Kind of a dick move to exclude people from the conversation. Two, and far more important, it’s no longer a question if you’re being sarcastic. That doesn’t sound important until you remember that 4chan literally brought back nazis because they thought ironic nazism was hilarious. And then all the closeted nazis used that to say “none of those people are being ironic, they all mean what they’re saying” to new, properly primed recruits.

Sarcasm tag exists, it should be used. If you’re getting downvoted because you didn’t use the tag… good. We don’t need lemmy to breed nazis/assholes
