What came first? The chicken or the egg?
Did the system that created the conditions people find themselves in come first. Or did the people running the system create the conditions that they find themselves in?

People in this context appears to be plural, thus I don’t see how Montreal_Metro’s take is Great Man Theory.
The system sets the conditions of who is going to be empowered or rewarded for their actions and positions.
Ultimately, any system is operated by mere mortals who will arbitrarily reward and punish people based on their own bias, morals and desires. Systems only work so long as the people manning them follow the rules. Systems only last if the people running it punish rule breakers.
According to all of history, corruption, apathy, and pure human greed and ingenuity will gradually eat away any system, economic and political, until it collapses. Only for the failing system to be replaced by a “better” system, which begins the cycle again.
If basic economics get you upset, then alright.

Extracting free resources of the land
Not to be contrarian, but there is a cost to extract those “free” resources; like labor, equipment, transportation, lobbying (AKA: bribes for the non-Americans), processing raw material into something useful, research and development, et cetera.
I think the real implication of the system is that Reddit will also start banning you for down-voting posts too.
I’d reckon that managing a social media server is more involved than just using social media.
Even if they don’t outright cripple functionality, they’ll hound you endlessly to install the app.
Still don’t understand the logic of doing that.
It’s like saying,
“Our website is nigh unusable, please install our app instead. We pinky promise our app works”.
I love that over on Reddit most of the content is still coming from Xitter. The only change is that they aren’t posting direct links crediting the person who made it.
What a half-ass way to boycott a site.
Yo, is it too late to find another author? Asking for a friend.
My man, I am really curious where you get your news from.
mintpress
From Wikipedia:
MintPress News supported former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, and the governments of Russia and Iran.[3][4] It opposes the governments of Israel and Saudi Arabia,[5] and reports geopolitical events from an anti-Western perspective.[6]

And
Further, they have frequently promoted conspiracy theories and misinformation regarding Covid-19, such as this A DARPA-FUNDED IMPLANTABLE BIOCHIP TO DETECT COVID-19 COULD HIT MARKETS BY 2021.
American’s ratlined the Nazi’s into their country,
FYI, the Soviet Union also recruited Nazis into their ranks - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Osoaviakhim
Well you see, American propaganda is cringe, while my superior vintage Soviet propaganda is based.
Hoped this comment was helpful :)
Better hope he doesn’t add bleach to vaccine
My life has improved so much since I embraced a so called ‘evil,’ and ‘destructive’ brain worm. Libs preach unity, but can’t understand the power of many minds united into one. Sad!
Right side is also: Die in a climate wars penal unit.

Article tag line: “Stephen Thaler’s series of high-profile copyright cases has made headlines worldwide. He’s done it to demonstrate his AI is capable of independent thought.”
imo, 10 bucks says Thaler is doing this so he can sell his AI construct as “you can copyright DABUS’s output”.
